Tom's Fiddle Stix is the newest addition to Burton, TX featuring the Pig & Whistle, The Biergarten, The Weingarten, New Faces (theatre), and The Pickle Tree Deli.
Entertainment on Friday nites by accordianist Gene Hackemack has become traditional. Pianist and guitarist Jerry & Jolene Wickel will begin regular gigs on Saturday evenings in February. On April 4, 2009, the Pig will host the Burton Oompah Band and the International Chili Cookoff.. On the l8th & l9th of April, we will serve food & music during the Burton Cotton Gin Festival, and again we'll bring you the Burton Oompah Band. Beginning in May, the LaPorte Dixieland Band will entertain every other Saturday afternoon in the Biergarten.

The news from the Pig & Whistle is that we've completed l8 months of operation.
During that time the Bar, the Weingarten, and, the Biergarten have opened. We've finished the dining room (the Round Table) and the kitchen is nearly completed. The menu is under construction; the Pickletree Deli will open when the Round Table does so; the Biergarten menu is complete and ready to go in April; the New Faces Theater will be completed during 2009.
